We are pleased to invite you to the Innovation Talk, an online event organised in the context of the CESAER Student Challenge 2023 in collaboration with the Start up Academy. The Innovation Talk will take place online on Thursday 4 May 2023, from 4 to 6 PM local time Brussels (CEST). The event will give student-led teams the tools to understand current trends in innovation, types of innovations, how to pitch an idea and how to structure a successful presentation. Participation is free and open to the public, and registration is mandatory.

This webinar is organized in the context of the CESAER Student Challenge 2023 and mainly intended for students wishing to participate in the Student Challenge. However, representatives from our Members are cordially invited to participate.
Michał Misztal is President of the Startup Academy, business trainer, coordinator and creator of numerous entrepreneurship teaching programs, as well as expert of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development in the field of assessing the innovativeness of startups. He is the author of business education programs for novice entrepreneurs and was a consultant in several dozen investment processes. For 11 years he worked on the development of entrepreneurship in Poland and took care of over 600 startups from various industries. As part of the international EU program Speed Up, in 2017-2021 he advised the City of Warsaw on the creation of a startup ecosystem in the capital.
Launched beginning of April 2023, this challenge gives student-led teams from our Members the chance to design and showcase their ideas on how science and technology contribute to sustainability. Submissions will be evaluated along three dimensions: (i) Novelty, (ii) Scientific and Technological Excellence, (iii) Sustainability and Impact. The submission will consist of an abstract and a short video with a deadline for submission on 31 July 2023. The three best videos will be shown at our CESAER Annual Meetings at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in October 2023, and the student-leaders of the respective teams will be our invited guests to join the CESAER Annual Meetings with travel and accommodation at our expense. The winning team will win a cash prize of up to €20,000. More information is available on our webpage cesaer.org.
