On 8 March 2022, the Board suspended the membership of TPU with immediate effect for having committed an infringement of the common values of our association following its stated support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Articles of Association outlines that "Pending the final decision by the General Assembly, the Board by a majority of two-thirds of the votes cast may suspend a Member temporarily removing its voting rights."
On 14 October 2022, the thirty-sixth General Assembly decided to indefinitely suspend the membership of TPU and invited the Board to monitor the situation and come back to the General Assembly when a change of situation occurs.
During the suspension, TPU will be removed from all systems of the association and will not participate in any activities of the association.
