Guillermo Cisneros Perez appointed Envoy to the Spanish Presidency of Council of EU

Our Board has appointed the Rector of UPM Guillermo Cisneros as our association’s Envoy to the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Our association is delighted to announce that our Board has appointed Guillermo Cisneros Perez (Rector of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) as our Envoy to the Spanish Presidency taking place from July to December 2023.

Guillermo will advise and support the Presidency and Board in the lead up to, and for the duration of, the Spanish Presidency.

Since 2016, he has served as Rector of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, with an academic background in physics and telecommunication and an accomplished career contributing to national and European policy through industry and university leadership roles.

The Spanish Presidency kicks off an eighteen month trio-presidency, with Belgium following in the second half of 2023 and Hungary thereafter in the first half of 2024.
