Lloyd Huitson appointed Senior Advisor for Learning & Teaching

Lloyd Huitson started as our new Senior Advisor for Learning & Teaching at the Secretariat on 1 February 2022 and provides support to our Task Force Learning & Teaching and Task Force Benchmark.

Lloyd joined the Secretariat on 1 February as Senior Advisor for Learning & Teaching. Lloyd arrives with over four years of experience at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, where he worked in the Higher Education and International Cooperation units. He also brings experience from previous roles on a range of education and internationalisation topics for Erasmus Student Network.

He obtained his bachelor and Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Southampton, which he complemented with several years teaching English, French and Spanish as foreign languages in a range of contexts.

“I’m really excited to bring my knowledge and experience to CESAER - not only from a pan-European policy perspective, but also in strengthening those all important links between the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). And of course, I’m dedicated to bringing a lot of fun in supporting our Members across Europe and beyond, hopefully very soon in-person!”, enthused Lloyd at the end of his induction week.

As Senior Advisor, Lloyd contributes to our aims and activities in learning and teaching; advocates at European, national and regional levels; represents the association externally; and serves and advises our governing bodies, committees and task forces. Lloyd provides support to our Task Force Learning & Teaching and Task Force Benchmark.
