Back to overview

Louise joined the Secretariat in April 2021 and has contributed with commitment and passion over the past four years, first as Junior Advisor and then as Advisor for Innovation & Sustainability. Her trajectory within the Secretariat has been marked by a deepening engagement with the missions of our association and the growing trust of our Members.

She previously undertook a traineeship with the Secretariat in 2017 during her studies. A graduate of International Relations and Politics from the University of Sheffield—one of our Member universities—she also holds two masters degrees from the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. During her studies, she completed exchange programmes at Keio University in Tokyo and Yonsei University in Seoul.

Since joining the Secretariat, Louise has taken on an increasingly strategic role in supporting our community and advancing our work on innovation and sustainability. She first began by supporting Task Force Innovation, later also coordinating Task Force Sustainability, and since September 2023, has also been supporting the Task Force Sustainable Funding.

Reflecting on her promotion, Louise shared:

“It has been a privilege to grow with CESAER over the past four years. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been the opportunity to collaborate so closely with our incredible Members and meet so many wonderful individuals. Their knowledge, vision and commitment continue to inspire me every day.

These are crucial times for European research, innovation and education with the negotiations on the next Framework Programme (FP10) and the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) shaping the future of science, innovation and sustainability. I am excited to be part of this process and to support our Members in advocating for strong, ambitious policies and funding that reflect their vital contributions to Europe and the world.”

In her new role, Louise will lead and coordinate strategic initiatives in innovation and sustainability, support high-level advocacy and stakeholder engagement, and contribute to strengthening the association’s influence and impact across Europe and beyond.
